NEC was honored with the ESGR Seven Seals Award yesterday in recognition of our support of the men and women who serve as part of the National Guard and Reserve. Earlier this year, we collected necessities as part of our Operation Care Package to send to Eric Forrest and his team. Thanks to everyone who participated in making sure we honor those serving us.
Special Visitor From Uganda
If you got to share any time with Edward Okiror during his visit to NEC this past weekend, you'll know what I mean when I say that this wonderful man exudes love, hope and gratitude. NEC was one of Pastor Edward's stops across the US to meet with area churches who support World Renew 's efforts in Uganda. He has been a longtime friend of NEC - in fact one of our own, back in 2016, was in Uganda when the first bricks were laid for the Vineyard School. Today, this school provides education, and in some cases, housing for more than 600 students! Poverty, illness and death from HIV and childbirth are just some of the many challenges faced by the people in Eastern Africa. With God's help, they are seeing lives being transformed through their many ministries to equip families with faith, education and skill-building. Edward's ask of us? Prayer for one another and come to Uganda to see God's work! We're going to take you up on that offer, Edward!
NEC aims to be a blessing within and beyond our walls and partners with various organization locally and globally to bring God's love to the nations. Thank you for being part of this community!
Join us for Family Dinner Night
Family Dinner Night is back! The Kids Zone Team will be hosting what is hopefully the first of many evenings of food, fellowship, and fun for the entire NEC community. Join us on Saturday, April 6, from 6:00-8:00 PM, bring a dish to share with the community (if you'd like), and get to know others over a casual meal.
